Paycom Center Finishes 2024 With Record Number of Concert Events, Ranks Among Top 50 Arenas in the U.S.
Jan 15 / Wednesday
2024 proved to be a record-breaking year for Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City. The arena ended the year with 41 concert events, breaking the previous record of 37 events in 2022. Four of these events set gross ticket sales records – two Zach Bryan concerts on May 17 and 18, and two Drake and J. Cole shows on March 18 and 19.
With the strong number of events and tickets sold, Paycom Center moved up in venue rankings, standing as 60th in the world and 38th in the United States based on Pollstar’s Top Arenas Year End list. These rankings highlight the ASM Global-managed facility as the best-selling arena in the state of Oklahoma. Paycom Center is also named as a finalist for Arena of The Year at the 36th Annual Pollstar Awards set to take place February in Los Angeles.
“Paycom Center is proud to represent the region as a top destination for touring events,” said General Manager Chris Semrau. “Our team works tirelessly to bring the best entertainment to the community, and that hard work is reflected in another record-breaking year.”
Multiple artists chose Oklahoma City for their arena-debut in the state of Oklahoma, including Olivia Rodrigo, Nicki Minaj, Childish Gambino, Chayanne, Theo Von, and Aventura. Childish Gambino and Creed both opened their 2024 tours at Paycom Center. The NBA arena also hosted 45 Thunder and 23 Blue games, as well as family shows including Monster Jam and WWE, and the debut of the Oklahoma Wildcatters during PBR’s Teams Series weekend.
2025 is set to be an eventful year for Paycom Center as well, with numerous shows already announced. Big artists include Alan Jackson’s final Oklahoma City show, Tyler Childers, top comedians like Tom Segura and Nate Bargatze, and more. For a full list of upcoming events, visit www.paycomcenter.com.
