Paycom Center Earns Pollstar Awards Arena Of The Year Nomination

Nominations have been unveiled for the 36th annual Pollstar Awards, honoring the top tours, venues, live music executives, and more. This year’s nominees for Arena of the Year (U.S. only) include Oklahoma City’s own Paycom Center. The downtown OKC venue is joined alongside venues including Madison Square Garden (New York, NY), Kia Forum (Inglewood, CA), Sphere (Las Vegas, NV), Bridgestone Arena (Nashville, TN), Moody Center (Austin, TX), and Rupp Arena (Lexington, KY).

“Oklahoma City has earned a great reputation in the touring business as a must-stop destination in the region,” says Paycom Center General Manager Chris Semrau. “From booking to operations, our team provides a best-in-class experience for all event industry professionals at Paycom Center.”

The nomination comes less than one year since the arena was a finalist for the Country Music Association Touring Awards for Venue of the Year. 2024 is proving to be another banner year for the facility, thanks to the continued support from the Oklahoma City community. Paycom Center has hosted major tours and big names this year, including Drake, Turnpike Troubadours, Zach Bryan, Olivia Rodrigo, and more. The year will be capped off with performances by Justin Timberlake, Lindsey Stirling, and Parker McCollum, among others.

In addition to the Arena of the Year nomination, Paycom Center’s Director of Programming, Jordan Racine, has also been named a finalist for the Rising Star Award. Racine has been a vital piece of the arena’s booking strategy since joining the company in Spring 2022.

Nominations for the Pollstar awards are submitted by a committee made up of agents, promoters, managers, producers, production professionals, venues representatives, Pollstar Boxoffice reporters, and other touring professionals. The winners are voted on by Pollstar members and announced at the Pollstar Live! Conference in February 2025.
